Community Engagement Initiative (CEI)

The Community Engagement Initiative aims to build trust and strengthen relationships between communities and school districts by fostering the capacity to have difficult conversations focused on improving student outcomes. It identifies effective models of community engagement, develops metrics to evaluate their impact, and promotes peer-to-peer partnerships between districts and county offices of education. These efforts support continuous improvement and the statewide adoption of proven engagement practices.

Criteria to Access

CEI operates on a revolving cohort model in which school districts or Local Education Agencies join with a two-year commitment to lead and learn within the network. All LEA’s are welcome to apply to join future cohorts.
